Our quest for the perfect prom dress started a couple weeks ago. Sweet daughter and a van full of her girlfriends took off for Hopes Bridal.
She tried on several dresses, none were acceptable.
We continued to several shops in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City.
We even tried some used dresses that a good friend that works with me brought in for her to try at home.
I loved the pink one, it fit her perfect, however sweet daughter is not a fan of pink so back to work the used dresses went.
My kind sister from Des Moines mentioned she saw some cute dresses at Von Maur so we went off to Von Maur last weekend.
So here it is, the dress that won. These pictures do not do it justice. It is midnight blue throughout, not black on the bottom like it looks.
She loved the midnight blue dress at Von Maur. Only one problem, the zipper did not work very well. Another dressed had to be shipped from another store. Finally got the dress home a few days ago, it fit, the zipper worked and all is right in the world again!
The dress fits her great, the blue is beautiful on her and brings out her denim blue eyes.
Now the quest for shoes and accessories! The best accessory is the smile on her face for finding her perfect dress!
