What's still on my sewing machine

Bulls eye quilt

Wear Warm Clothes!

Considering we are having yet another blizzard, I think it is appropriate to post this quilt on my blog. I made it last year.

Also, here are some pictures of my back yard, the snow is very deep! I've taken the opportunity this weekend to work on quilting and knitting projects. The kids and have been watching movies and we made cookies today.

The Valentine's day party

The girls looked so nice all dressed up for the party. Unfortunately we found out when we arrived at school that the party was cancelled due to bad roads.

Piano Beauty

Bailey put on a piano concert before going to Valentine's day dance at school. The dance ended up getting cancelled due to blowing snow, drifts and white out conditions. I can't figure out how to rotate the video so my work around is to have you turn your head sideways while viewing!

When life hands you "ice", make luminaries!

A new twist on lemons and lemonaid for those of us living in the frozen tundra.
I made these ice luminaries using ice cream buckets, fill about 1/3 with water and other stuff like evergreen, cranberries, limes - whatever!, then freeze, then add a smaller plastic container filled with rocks to create a crater and pour water around the smaller container. Add more cool stuff and freeze. Place tea candles in the crater.

Bunko

February's neighborhood Bunko was at my house last Friday.
