Autumn days in Iowa

The days are getting cooler and I love warm soup for meals.  Here is a quick and yummy one my oldest sister sent me.  Sweet Daughter made it for school and it was gone in minutes.

Potato Soup
Microwave 2# O'briendFrozen hash browns in microwave
Meanwhile, saute in 1 stick butter, 6 green onions, then add 1 can cream of chicken, 1 can cream of celery, add 1 qt half and half (I've used low fat everything and it is good),  then add 2 cups cheddar cheese.  warm this all up.  It is really good, quick easy and no one would know how easy.

I've blogged about these easy roll-up sandwiches in the past.  Crescent rolls, ham and cheese.  The guys love them, they go great with soup and perfect snack for football games.

We are enjoying the fall walks with the dogs, Wrigley love his pumpkin costume and looks so cute.  People wave and point when we are walking him.  Not sure who they are pointing at and laughing about, the crazy dog lady or Wrigley.

Football season so far

Dear son's football team made it past the first game of substate last week.  The next game is this Monday.  I thought it would be fun to post a season in review montage.  Keep in mind dear son is number 21.............................

The fans had a different theme each week, this is beach week.  They held a tailgate party in the parking log outside of Kingston stadium.

The cheerleaders are amazing athletes, don't let anyone say otherwise, these girls are amazing!

After each goal, this young lady is thrown back and forth for each score.

The Prairie High School band continues to be one of the best I've ever heard.

The boys are blessed to have such a passionate, cool, young coach.

After the game, the kids create a tunnel.  wow, talk about school spirit!

Orange out, love those painted bow-ties

Homecoming, they light up a big "P", tradition goes back to the 1930's.

This is after the first substate game, the fans were so happy and the energy could be felt in the stands.

Crazy kids.... I remember being a crazy kid too!
