Family activities

We've had a crazy busy couple weeks with family stuff.

Dear hubby found time to go duck hunting yesterday. Anyone have a good recipe for duck?

Sweet daughter is starting college campus tours!
Seems so hard to believe she is a Junior in high school and old enough for this. We toured Upper Iowa University on Saturday. It is in Fayette, Iowa. A very small town but a very nice campus and sweet daughter really liked the school. We have several others to look at so this is just the beginning. It was a beautiful drive on a sunny fall morning. There are 2 quilt shops and 3 very cute gift shops on the way, plus 1 very nice Italian restaurant. (Of course this is part of Mom's criteria!)

Dear son had a band concert AFTER a football game on Monday. The band sounded great, I can't wait for his first Jazz concert in November.

sweet daughter had a choir concert AFTER another football game last week. The choir sounded great, she is so blessed with a beautiful singing voice. Something she did not inherit from me.

Dear Son's last football game and football banquet was on Thursday. They won the last game, it was cold and rainy. It was so fun to watch him play this year and he played well. I have to admit I let out a secret sigh of relief when the season was over and he was uninjured.

Sweet daughter has 2 more marching band activities before the season is done. She will perform at the last home football game and at the US Cellular Center at a high school band show. It has been a lot of fun to watch her in color guard. She really has a lot of fun during the games and performances.
